about
I wrote this song as my contribution to the art gallery for the Vagina Monologues at UC Berkeley 2015. It is important for survivors to feel safe, supported, heard, visible, and empowered. We must stand together to end violence, inequality, and the act of silencing and marginalizing voices.
To my VagMons team, I love you so much, and I'm blessed to have shared this experience with you!
lyrics
Do you hear me?
Do you hear what I have to say?
Do you see me?
Can you understand what's made me this way?
And it's not fair, and it's not right for me to feel ashamed.
I am unbreakable.
We are unbreakable.
Do you know me?
Am I your every day?
Can we stop this?
Will you stand with me until we make a change?
And it's possible, when I see the light that comes my way.
